OP Rewards Campaign

Overview

The OP rewards campaign allows users to earn OP tokens by supplying USDC to sUSDC on Spark Savings across both Optimism Mainnet and Unichain. The campaign starts June 3rd, 2025 at 01:00 UTC and runs for 12 months.

The rewarded actions and amounts being distributed is subject to change over the period of the campaign.

How to Participate

  1. Deposit USDC to sUSDC using Spark Savings on either:
    • Optimism Mainnet
    • Unichain
  2. Maintain your sUSDC position to earn OP rewards
  3. Claim your rewards weekly (every Monday)

Reward Distribution

Rewards are distributed based on these key factors:

  • Weekly distributions of approximately 38,356.16 OP tokens (subject to weekly adjustments based on market APY)
  • Total campaign allocation: 2,000,000 OP tokens over 12 months
  • Rewards accrue every second based on your share of total sUSDC across both chains
  • First distribution begins Monday, June 10th, 2025
  • Claims are available once per week (Every Monday)

  • Distribution Networks:
    • Rewards are distributed on Optimism Mainnet only
    • Rewards are calculated based on sUSDC holdings on both Optimism Mainnet and Unichain
    • Single claim process for rewards from both chains on OP Mainnet

Claim Process

  • User's can claim their rewards at https://app.spark.fi/rewards. (Make sure to select Optimism Mainnet as the network).
  • You can find more information on how to claim rewards here.
  • Claims are processed through the SparkRewards contract on Optimism Mainnet
  • The Merkle root contains combined rewards for both chains
  • Users must claim within 3 months of each epoch's end
  • Epochs run quarterly, with the first epoch starting June 3rd, 2025

Claim Deadlines

  • Users must claim their rewards within 3 months from the end of each epoch
  • Rewards not claimed within the 3-month window will expire and cannot be claimed
  • Stay updated for announcements regarding claim deadlines and remember to claim your rewards

Restricted Geographies

Users from the following countries will not be able to claim rewards:

  • None

However be aware that the Spark Terms of Use still apply, meaning that e.g. sanctioned users will not be able to claim rewards.

Important Notes

  • Rewards are calculated based on your share of total sUSDC across both Optimism Mainnet and Unichain
  • Weekly reward amounts may be adjusted to market conditions - these will be communicated in advance
  • New rewarded actions may be added to the campaign
  • All claims must be made on Optimism Mainnet, even for rewards earned on Unichain
